Didier Drogba could not help but aim a dig at Arsenal after they set up an FA Cup final clash against Chelsea next month
Didier Drogba has taken to social media to troll Arsenal after the Gunners secured their place in the FA Cup final against Chelsea.
Arsenal secured their spot in next month’s showpiece at Wembley when they beat Manchester City 2-1 in Sunday’s semi-final after extra-time.
Chelsea, meanwhile, progressed through to the final on Saturday thanks to an impressive 4-2 win over Tottenham at Wembley.
Drogba had an ominous record against Arsenal and scored 16 goals in 16 games against Arsene Wenger’s side.
And the Ivorian, who has recently signed for Phoenix Rising FC, could not help but aim a dig at Arsenal after their victory on Sunday.
Drogba tweeted: “Dear @PHXRisingFC I’ll be off on loan with @ChelseaFC for two days 26/27th of May, just to make it 17/17 against #afc #IswearIBeBack #banter.”
Arsenal are looking to win the FA Cup for the third time in four years after lifting the trophy in both 2015 and 2014.
The Gunners return to Premier League action with a home clash against Leicester City at The Emirates on Wednesday night, while Chelsea host Southampton at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.
